With the PI Suite Data Provider, prisma informatik has recently developed a convenient data transfer module with which information can be quickly and easily transferred from the ERP system to a desired analysis software. As of now, the new module can also be obtained from Microsoft's AppSource catalog.

After all, comprehensive new insights can be gained in this way, for example, and more efficient strategic decisions can be made, thus securing important competitive advantages. A suitable analysis tool, such as Qlik Sense or Power BI, is always a significant factor when evaluating the relevant information.
For analysis, the respective data must first be transferred from the ERP software Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to the desired analysis software. For this purpose, prisma informatik GmbH recently launched a convenient solution. The PI Suite Data Provider becomes particularly helpful when classic web services are not suitable for the required data transfer.
How does the PI Suite Data Provider work?
Using the dynamic module, the desired data can be exported from Dynamics 365 Business Central in table form at regular intervals (for example, hourly or daily) via task queue. The information is then loaded into Microsoft's cloud-based Azure Blob Storage (included by default with analytics platforms) and from there uploaded to the requested analytics platform (Qlik, Power BI etc.) for further use. The tables and fields exported in this process – also from third-party modules (apps), if required – can be selected independently and transferred to the analysis system without programming.
The PI Suite Data Provider can be set up quickly and easily. The module can be installed as an extension via the extension management in the desired Dynamics 365 Business Central environment and can then be used immediately for data export.
