Many companies use templates for emails sent from Business Central, for example to add footers or disclaimers by default. Now it is also possible to add default attachments to messages for specific scenarios.
With the latest released version of Dynamics 365 Business Central, it is now also possible to add additional attachments (e.g. terms and conditions for sales scenarios) to each customer email sent.
For this purpose, on the “Email Scenario Assignment” page, the action “Set Scenario Attachments” can be used to define corresponding attachments for specific email scenarios.

On the “Email Scenario Attachments” page, several files can also be selected as default attachments at the same time by selecting the “Add File” action.

Finally, if an email is sent for a scenario for which default attachments were previously defined, they are then automatically inserted into the corresponding email draft. So, for example, if a standard attachment containing the general terms and conditions has been defined for an email scenario for sales quotes, it will be automatically attached to every message in this scenario by activating the “Attach by Default” toggle.

In order to vary the use of default attachments in email scenarios, the action “Add Files from Default Selection” can be used. The action helps to specify whether the defined attachments should always be sent or only under certain conditions. It can be used to select from additional default attachments listed on the “Additional Attachments from Scenario ” page.
