In October, the design options in charts and the general user experience of Qlik Sense Cloud were once again improved.
Optimized selection bars
The labels in the selection bar have been improved in Qlik Sense Cloud. If a label has been provided for a master dimension, this label will be used instead of the field name in the underlying data model. This improves the ease of use. At the same time, the new feature also simplifies the creation of multilingual applications.
Chart background image by URL
The new chart background image by URL offers great potential for designing and building a dynamic and appealing app. The new feature is useful for linking images from external sources and building up dynamic images using an expression with inline SVG as a Data URI. It can also be used to fetch images from the media library with an expression and the API.
A background image by URL can be used in chart backgrounds, straight table cells, pivot table cells, map point layer icons and map chart background layers.
Qlik Anonymous Access
With “Qlik Anonymous Access”, Qlik has now officially introduced a new feature that enables organizations to share data insights quickly and securely with a public audience while reducing infrastructure and maintenance costs.
“Qlik Anonymous Access” simplifies the handling of analytics content by eliminating the need for user accounts and complex authentication. It can be used via embedded content as well as via a full link to a Qlik Sense application. “Qlik Anonymous Access” ensures optimal scalability, compliance and smooth operation. It also simplifies the creation, distribution and maintenance of public data and analyses.
