Qlik is continuously expanding and optimizing the design options in Qlik Sense Cloud to enable the creation of comprehensive analyses and visually appealing visualizations.
In recent weeks, the design options in various charts and the general user-friendliness have therefore been improved again in Qlik Sense Cloud.
Improvements to the “Text” object
The following functionalities have been added to the “Text” object in the dashboard bundle:
• Multiple rows of lines can be converted to bullets.
• Measures are highlighted when properties are edited.
• Hover and Details are not off by default.
• The maximum number of measures in the “Text” object has been increased from 10 measures to 100 measures.
New options for downloading straight table data
The new straight table has also been updated with another useful feature. This now allows end users to configure data downloads to display Title, Column totals and Selections according to their personal requirements and preferences.
In addition, options for coloring alternating rows can now be added to the straight table via the Styling panel.
Additional display option in the bar chart
In addition to “Grouped” and “Stacked”, the bar chart has been given a new presentation option – “Butterfly”. The butterfly chart, sometimes called tornado chart, is a great way to compare two measures across one dimension.
Manually adding points and lines to line charts
The line chart is given options to add points and lines to broaden the perspective (e.g. to emphasize certain values or show trends by connecting points with lines).
