Dynamics 365 Business Central has various sustainability reporting features for some time now. These have recently been expanded to include new Power BI reports. There, sustainability data from Business Central can be prepared, viewed, and evaluated.
The current version of Business Central introduces helpful new features and optimizations in various areas, as well as several improvements in sustainability reporting and analysis. These help companies to view new KPIs (key performance indicators) from the sustainability area in Power BI and evaluate them with the appropriate tools. Previously, only reports with an Excel layout were available for this purpose. In addition, comprehensive documentation and learning tips are provided to help users make full and efficient use of these new features.
Sustainability reporting with Power BI
With the addition of the new reports, the desired sustainability values and scenarios (e.g., emissions by category and scope, CO2 analysis, journey to net-zero carbon, realized vs. baseline vs. target, water and waste analysis, etc.) can now be tracked in the updated Power BI sustainability app. In addition, new metrics and scenarios relating to social and governance factors (e.g., gender or age distribution, qualifications, etc.) can be viewed and analyzed.
However, the data analysis platform of Qlik is also suitable for the profitable evaluation of all types of company data, including sustainability data.
