Qlik is continuously expanding and optimizing the design options in Qlik Sense to enable the most comprehensive analyses and visually appealing visualizations possible.
In recent weeks, the visualization options in charts and the overall user-friendliness of Qlik Sense Cloud have been improved once again.
Shapes in bar, combo, scatter, and line charts
For some time now, it has been possible to enrich visualizations in Qlik Sense with shapes. Images are now also supported in line charts to add additional context and improve readability. Images can be selected from the media library or via a custom URL.
In addition, shapes are now also available for bar, combo, and scatter charts. Areas can also be specified in scatter plot.
Optimized use of sheets
For an optimized user experience, sheets can now be easily published or unpublished in the sheet overview and in the sheet section by dragging the sheet to the other section. In addition, the current expand state of the view is now retained until it is changed by the user.
Column highlighting in the straight table
The current column is now highlighted in the data asset panel of the straight table. This improves usability and eases working with the table.
Custom CSS design for worksheets
There is also a new option to add CSS in conjunction with a custom theme. The sheet styling property panel for the worksheet design now includes a section with custom styles for entering CSS.
