BI provider Qlik has released the new version for Qlik Sense on Windows. Qlik Sense November 2025 once again focuses on improving visualization capabilities.
The November release is the second and last client-managed version this year and includes several new features and optimizations in the areas of visualization and general usability.
Line chart shapes with labels and symbols
In line charts, the creation of shapes (formerly known as plug-ins) has been optimized. In addition to points and lines, labels and symbols can now be added with options for size, color, and placement. Shapes can significantly increase data literacy by providing valuable context for chart interpretation.
Images and new design settings in the organization chart
The organization chart in the visualization bundle now includes new styling settings, such as an option to embed an image in the card via URL. The new feature is particularly useful for making hierarchy charts even more visually appealing.
Straight table becomes standard
The new straight table has been expanded, takes up space in the chart section, and becomes the default table. The old table remains available in the asset panel. However, it is recommended to switch to the new table and use its functions, as the old table will be removed in the future.
Optimizations to the new pivot table
The new pivot table has been equipped with an additional display mode. The indentation of row dimensions can be selected for a more compact view. The new function is intended for text, so images and links are not supported.
In addition, the pivot table now has indicators. Symbols and colors can be added based on threshold values – quickly and easily for each measure.
Shapes for bar and combo charts
For some time now, shapes for line charts have been an ideal way to give dashboards more context and meaning. Shapes are now also available for bar and combo charts.
Improved stability for map charts
Map charts now use a local web map instead of a map from the Qlik servers. This makes map charts start faster and become more stable.
Other new features
Qlik Sense November 2025 has redesigned the overview of sheets and bookmarks and simplified navigation. There is now an “All” category that displays all public, community, and private items. The app settings have also been redesigned and now have a new home with tabs for easy navigation between setting categories.
