Qlik Sense Cloud: Visualization innovations in the winter months

Qlik Sense Cloud

Qlik is continuously expanding and optimizing the design options in Qlik Sense to enable the most comprehensive analyses and visually appealing visualizations possible.

In recent weeks, the visualization options in charts and the general user-friendliness of Qlik Sense Cloud have been improved once again.

Enhanced monitored charts in Qlik Cloud

Monitored charts are now even clearer and more powerful when tracking key metrics in applications. This is achieved through, for example, better use of screen space for easier viewing, an enhanced history view for more accurate trend comparisons over time, and more comprehensive metadata for greater context at a glance.

Area for the line in the combination chart

Areas can now be displayed in the combo chart when a line is used. This new feature makes it easier to show not only the trend but also the magnitude of the data. The areas can also be stacked.

Custom width for bar charts with continuous axis

The bar chart has been equipped with new options for continuous axes. By specifying the unit of the data values, the bars can now display years, quarters, or any other numerical width.

Automatically generated thumbnails for sheets

Qlik Cloud now automatically generates thumbnails for sheets, providing a quick visual preview without any additional effort. This allows you to instantly view the sheet content, saves time by eliminating the need for manual screenshots and uploads, and provides consistent visualizations for a clean and professional look and feel for your applications.

Resizable properties panel

Users who work with particularly long field names now benefit from another new feature. The properties panel is now fully resizable, allowing it to be dragged as wide as desired. This enables clean, clear, fully visible field names.

Reorganization of charts

In the assets panel, charts have been reorganized into three categories:

Visualizations: Visualizations for displaying data in analysis apps.
Dashboard objects: Objects for formatting sheets to optimally display analytical information in other charts.
Legacy: Older visualizations that are still supported for use in analysis apps.

New sheet templates

New sheet templates in Qlik Cloud now make dashboard creation even faster and easier. This allows you to start directly with proven layouts instead of creating everything from scratch. Users can choose from several template options for different use cases. The respective templates can be previewed as wireframes before use.
