With the latest release of Business Central, various functional areas have been expanded and optimized again. The dunning process has also received an update.
In Dynamics 365 Business Central, reminder notices serve to inform customers about outstanding receivables and request their payment. To manage customers efficiently, appropriate reminder terms can be set up and assigned to the respective customers. Ultimately, the reminder methods control the flow of the reminder process. Each reminder method code includes individually defined reminder levels. These reminder levels, in turn, determine when a reminder is sent, what fees apply, and whether interest is charged, if applicable. A grace period can also be configured within the reminder levels to ensure that no reminders are sent for invoices that have already been paid.
The reminder process in Business Central has also been optimized in the latest release. In addition to a restructuring of the reminder terms and levels, this includes a new feature for reminder automation.
Restructuring of reminder terms
In addition to the reminder terms overview, a reminder terms card is now also available. Some columns and functions have been removed from the overview and are now available on the– for example, the various reminder levels, which will now be located on a subpage of the card.
In addition, a customer communication button now allows you to customize reminder texts and email messages for each reminder level to be more flexible than it was previously possible.

New View: Reminder automation
Furthermore, a new feature has been introduced to automate the steps for creating, registering and sending reminder notices in the reminder process. This allows the execution of the various reminder steps to be automated either completely or in individual stages.
